Darren Reed - Community Development Manager

Darren is a lifelong cyclist and bike tinkerer, who started with the Margaret Carey foundation as a workshop volunteer in 2017. Darren's volunteering led to a 6 month work placement through the incommunites STEPs scheme in 2018.
Darren started working for MCF in 2019 as the Youth Projects Coordinator, completing training to become a qualified cycle mechanic and trainer.

Darren now works  as the Community Development Manager and is working towards setting up MCF's City and Guilds cycle mechanics training centre in Bradford. Darren also works within the Bradford community delivering various bike schemes and projects designed around empowering young people, vulnerable adults, low-income families and other groups of beneficiaries who can benefit from the support and training MCF offers. 

Darren can usually be found in the Bradford Bikery or at any community cycling events that have coffee and cake.
