We first started working at HMP Haverigg in 2012 and when fully operating the bike project engages on average eight men working 4.5 days per week. In total, 136 bikes were collected in the year to September 2017. This was a reduction on the previous year due to disruption within the prison and staffing changes on the workshop.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances in the prison, beyond our control, the bike workshop has not been operational since September 2017. However, we are hopeful that there will be an opportunity to restart the workshop in the future.

More information about the prison can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
