Simon Anderson

Simon is a barrister who in 1997 began his career in the criminal justice sector in Bradford. He learnt of the work of MCF through a judicial colleague who had bought a second-hand bicycle from the Shipley Bikery. He discovered our website while searching for bicycle maintenance courses in his locality and - realising that he shared the charity’s values and applauded its objectives - applied to become a Trustee. Simon officially joined the board of trustees at the end of 2019.

Simon was drawn by his beliefs in recycling, rehabilitation, education, creating employment opportunities and environmentally sustainable transport. The fact that our activities revolve around the humble bicycle was a boon. In his leisure time Simon enjoys fell walking with his dog and cycle touring throughout Britain.
